Game Day Gets a New Seafood Tradition at Blue Island Oyster Bar
Denver’s East Coast-Inspired Concept Kicks Off Football Season with $15 Lobster Rolls on September 14, Followed by a Sunday Special All Season Long
Denver, CO (August 31, 2026) – Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood, the East Coast-inspired concept from locally owned restaurant group Shucking Good Hospitality (SGH), kicks off football season with a new game-day tradition. On Monday, September 14, while the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs, the restaurant will offer $15 lobster rolls and 99-cent oysters all day at both its Cherry Creek and Lone Tree locations for pickup and dine-in. Starting Sunday, September 20, the $15 lobster roll special will return every Sunday throughout the season, available for pickup only or dine-in for guests wearing their favorite team’s football gear.
“Denver is a football town, and we wanted to have some fun with it this season,” said Sean Huggard, Founder and President of Shucking Good Hospitality. “We’re a seafood restaurant, so lobster rolls felt like the right way to celebrate. Come in, wear your team gear and grab a lobster roll, or take a few home for the game.”

Guests can choose between two Blue Island favorites: the New England-Style Lobster Roll with Lemon aioli and fresh celery or the Connecticut-Style Lobster Roll, chilled with hot garlic butter. To kick off the season, on September 14, 99-cent oysters will also be available all day, giving guests another reason to head to Blue Island for the Broncos’ first game of the season.
Beginning Sunday, September 20, the $15 lobster rolls will be available for same-day pickup every Sunday throughout football season. Guests who'd rather eat in can also get the $15 price, but only by showing up in team colors, a jersey or other football gear. Without game-day gear, dine-in orders are not eligible for the special.
The football season lobster roll special is another example of Blue Island’s approach to bringing energy and a sense of occasion to the Denver dining scene. From its signature dock-to-dish seafood to seasonal events and ongoing guest experiences, Blue Island continues to put its own coastal spin on the way Denver eats, drinks, and comes together.
