Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood Refreshes Denver’s Best Happy Hour
Dock-to-Dish Seafood Destination Welcomes New Happy Hour Menu, 99-cent Oysters, and a $20 Bar Menu
DENVER, CO (April 22, 2026) – Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood, the East Coast-inspired concept from Shucking Good Hospitality (SGH), is welcoming spring by doubling down on what it has long been known for: one of the best Happy Hours in Denver. With a refreshed menu, expanded food and drink offerings, and even better deals, Blue Island’s latest updates build on that reputation, giving guests even more reasons to return throughout the week.
“Blue Island is a place you can come into any day of the week and know you’re going to have a great experience,” said Sean Huggard, Founder and President of Shucking Good Hospitality. “This is about getting back to what people loved most, a really strong Happy Hour with great pricing, great energy, and more reasons to come in often.”
The restaurant’s updated Happy Hour menu, available Monday through Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., further defines its standing as a go-to in Denver. The menu features an expanded selection of small plates, tacos, sliders, and cocktails, offering a broader range of options for guests looking to mix, match, and linger.
Guests can enjoy new $10 classic martinis, including Elderflower Basil, Espresso, Cosmopolitan, and Lemon Drop, alongside 30% off wines by the glass, $13 signature cocktails like the Truffle Martini and Old Fashioned, and draft beers.
New small plates include Coconut Curry Mussels, Smoked Trout Dip, Thai Calamari, and Sicilian Shrimp Sauté, alongside a broader mix of tacos and sliders such as the Burger Slider, Crispy Fish Slider, Teriyaki Salmon Slider, Ahi Tuna Taco, and the BIOB Fish Taco. A selection of freshly sourced oysters and clams is also available, starting at $2.75 each, reinforcing Blue Island’s commitment to quality and consistency.
Blue Island is also bringing back one of its most popular weekly traditions: Buck-a-Shuck Mondays, featuring 99-cent oysters, all day, for a limited time. With oysters and shellfish harvested directly from the group's own farm, Blue Island Oysters, in Long Island’s Great South Bay, this offering spotlights the restaurant’s dock-to-dish sourcing and reinforces its reputation for some of the best oyster deals in the city.
The restaurant’s weekly lineup also includes additional reasons to visit throughout the week:
- Wednesdays continue with Lobstermania, offering all lobster rolls for $28, served with fries or slaw
- Fridays and Saturdays extend into late-night with 99-cent oysters from 9 to 10 p.m.
- Sundays offer a more relaxed pace with Happy Hour available all day
For those looking for a full meal at a clear price point, Blue Island’s $20 Bar Menu is available daily from 6 p.m. to close in the bar area. The offering includes dishes like Filet and Shrimp Surf and Turf, Salmon Medallion Florentine, Mussels and Fries, and a classic Crab Cake Plate with fries and slaw.
Blue Island’s spring updates are now available at both Denver-area locations, cementing its role as the go-to destination for standout Happy Hour, fresh seafood, and lively bar energy.
