Blue Island Oyster Bar Brings Back Its Annual Summer Wine Mixer
25+ Wines, Spritz Bars, Interactive Pairing Competition, and a Night of Giving Return to Lone Tree on July 16
DENVER, CO (June 30, 2026) — Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood, the East Coast-inspired concept from locally owned restaurant group Shucking Good Hospitality (SGH), invites guests to sip, savor, and celebrate at its fourth annual Blue Island Wine Mixer on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at its Lone Tree location. The patio will transform into a summer tasting experience featuring more than 25 wines, passed hors d'oeuvres, spritz bars, sushi rolls, and a guest-voted pairing competition. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Blue Island Oyster Foundation.
“Every year, the Wine Mixer brings together all the reasons we got into hospitality,” said Sean Huggard, Founder & President of Shucking Good Hospitality. “Good wine, great food, and a room full of people who just want to have a good time. That it's grown into a real tradition, and now supports the Foundation, is something we're genuinely proud of."
Guests will enjoy unlimited pours of more than 25 red, white, and sparkling wines alongside Aperol spritz bars, a bottomless oyster bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, sushi rolls, and more chef-curated bites. Throughout the evening, attendees will sample featured pairings and vote to determine the 2026 Grand Champion Wine, recognizing the bottle that best complements Blue Island's signature oysters. Tickets are currently $115 per person and include all food and beverage tastings, a commemorative wine glass, live entertainment, and more.
A portion of proceeds will benefit the Blue Island Oyster Foundation, the restaurant group’s own nonprofit dedicated to protecting Long Island’s waterways through environmental stewardship, education, and community outreach. The Foundation supports efforts to preserve and restore the Great South Bay while advancing conservation initiatives that help protect this coastal ecosystem for future generations.
The event also speaks to Blue Island’s direct line to Blue Island Oyster Co., its namesake shellfish farm on Long Island’s Great South Bay. By sourcing oysters directly from its own farm, the restaurant delivers a true dock-to-dish experience rarely found in a landlocked market like Denver and reflects Shucking Good Hospitality’s broader mission to bring distinctive, experience-driven dining concepts to the city, each rooted in authenticity, quality, and a strong sense of place.
